I have played football for most of my life starting out as a defender for my school teams and then moving to midfield and forward whenI Iplayed for Buckland and Moretonhamstead. I stopped playing football in 2005 and now I only play the odd charity match when asked. My main role is managing the under 15 team and preparing them for senior football in two seasons time
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
